Crowley's diverse career path has had a singular focus of ensuring the food and water availability to future generations, with previous positions as a climate modeler, hydrologist, and agronomist in public and private sectors, and has more than 10 years working in the field of sustainable food and agriculture.

Max Breitensteiner
Breitensteiner is a technical system designer, technology integrator and one of a handful of professionals worldwide with over a decade of experience in every aspect of farming black soldier flies at scale. He fuses deep and broad expertise on the rapidly innovating state-of-the-art of insect breeding and bioconversion technologies with world class knowledge of the biological intricacies of farming BSF at scale.

Michael Place
Place has led and consults on more than one dozen commercial scale BSFL projects spanning five continents at the forefront of the field. Michael blends technical breadth with seasoned capabilities managing across all aspects of project delivery in the midst of disruptive technologies that demand dynamic, multidisciplinary teams.

Todd Severson
Severson has worked in multi-discipline teams across various technical fields throughout his career. He has successfully led teams on strategic missions, handled large scale logistic operations, owned responsibility for multiple projects from concept to full production, and managed the customer facing relationship of large complex companies.

Aly Moore
Moore brings 12+ years of broad insect industry experience. Founder of Bugible, the most visible brand authority on insect agriculture, Moore adds deep relationships and expertise across insect industry verticals. She’s featured 90+ times in media (including Forbes, Bill Nye, LA Times) and has partnered with organizations like Snap Inc, Airbnb, Rotary International, the International Culinary Center, Vice, and more to lead the integration of insects into the growing international conversation about the future of food.

Sayla Grom Elsbree-Kraft
Sayla has over 11 years of experience working for nonprofits focused on food system sustainability, community resilience, and food justice. Sayla has volunteered on several nonprofit boards, including the Oregon Farmers Market Association and Sacramento Food Policy Council, and served as President of The Oregon Section of the Institute of Food Technology in 2021.

Kari Madden
Madden is an experienced professional in sustainability-focused startup environments. She has over eight years of program management experience with balancing parallel work streams, collaborating with leadership and building trusting relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.

Alexx Blazzard
Blazzard has extensive experience managing insect ingredients from Chapul cricket powder to Chapul Farms black soldier fly larvae. Her work includes microbiological testing, Internal Audits, and regular QC checks. She applies her expertise in logistics, writing and enforcing SOP’s, and conducting employee training.

Ben Hubbard
Ben Hubbard is the co-founder and CEO of Nexus PMG, building a better world by developing infrastructure projects that reduce carbon intensity and enhance resource efficiency. With over 15 years of global experience in the engineering and construction industry and deep knowledge of investment underwriting, he has helped Nexus PMG bridge the gap between project development and project finance while establishing the Company as a leader in bioenergy, waste-to-value, and specialized sustainable infrastructure solutions. Ben is an Investment Committee Member of Nexus Dev, a development capital provider to renewable and circular economy assets. He is also a board member of BioNorth Energy.
